Holiday Sale

The Friends of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) are offering a holiday sale from the day after Thanksgiving through the month of December to all those who make purchases at the Eagle's Nest Book and Gift Shop in the Blackwater NWR Visitor Center. All proceeds from the shop go towards supporting educational and interpretive programs at the Refuge.

For the holiday season, visitors will get 10% off all gift shop purchases; Friends members will get 20% off. If you become a member while at the gift shop, you can get 20% off, too. You can also join using our online form. Just bring your email payment verification with you as proof of membership.

Since 1987, the Friends of Blackwater have assisted Blackwater NWR staff in carrying out their educational, interpretive, and public use missions. Our all-volunteer organization conducts fundraising, maintains trails, runs the Eagle and Osprey Cams, leads Refuge tours, works in the butterfly garden, supports environmental education programs for school children, staffs the information desk, offers college scholarships, and manages the Eagle's Nest Book and Gift Shop, among many other activities. As federal budgets shrink, groups like the Friends of Blackwater are more essential than ever in helping to protect treasures such as Blackwater NWR.
